Here's the thing about Hinduism/Eastern thought (and reality, actually), there is no creation without destruction, and vice versa. Every act of creation results in destruction, and in destruction there is creation. Etc, etc.
What this means for us regarding the fate of G.I. Joe is simply that the apparent current "destruction" of the brand doesn't necessarily mean its death. It's all about letting go of attachments to what was in order to make room for what needs to be. Basically, if the conception of something is no longer working, it's time to re-think that conception. G.I. Joe as a concept can be torn down so that it can be "reborn" into something that does work. |

Well, yeah, but it's more than that. It's a philosophy of life, a worldview, that's genuinely applicable to all facets of existence. Hence businesses using it and acting like it's some great discovery or a breakthrough of some sort. Shit, it's as old as the hills, but it's largely been something confined to more artistic pursuits. In this case, it's essentially just "The Creative Principle" applied to product development and business management.

Just read the Botcon recap over on Generals Joes. Mark Weber was there and they asked him if he will be at Joecon. He said Hasbro will have a booth and fans will either be pleased or excited. And they also said the Cobra Commander is dark blue and not black.

So he said fans will either be pleased or excited? So pissed, mad, sad, raging, annoyed, in a tizzy, irate, irritated, infuriated, outraged, steaming, hopping mad, and bent out of shape is not on the list of possible emotions.
