I'm not saying I'd complain about seeing it, I'm simply throwing out the likely possibility. |

[QUOTE=BCDX97;4860463
We can get 2 vehicles and 4 figs for $60 at retail, but because it's an "exclusive" we should pay twice that price with shipping? Why?[/QUOTE] All four of the figures are different from the retail version. Exclusive figures in the Joe line tend to cost at least $25 each when carded. You can view this as paying the Club price for four figures and getting the two vehicles for free.

The SHARC hasn't been used since 2008 and the club's using it this year. The Rattler hasn't been used since 2009. And that's the same year the HISS mold was last used, for Arctic HISS. Is it that hard to dust off 2 different molds rather than re-use the same two for two simultaneous exclusives? Even 2 Rattlers would've been better than 2 Skystrikers. Desert Rattler could've been the other color scheme. The camo Thunderbolt is a good Joe version of that vehicle for sure if they had to go the team-switching route. And certainly isn't any worse than the club remaking the Wave Crusher, which is 3 years more recent than the Thunderbolt. Granted then a Joe vehicle would've had to have been used for the land vehicle to fit the "theme" but I'd have been fine with a blue and black MOBAT over the HISSes. The orange HISS is useless anyway. Or blow everyone's minds and make blue and crimson Humvees. Last edited by JediJones; 08-02-2015 at 05:20 AM.. |

I might have bought it if is was a standard G.I. Joe Skystriker and a regular black Cobra HISS because I have neither one. But I have no use for a Cobra Skystriker or G.I. Joe HISS.

No ankles on Steeler, both Joes are super bland, using parts from over 5 years ago. HissTank, besides the new rail guns, which are a disapointment, is over 30 years old. The idea of cross over vehicles doesn't work on the Cobra HissTank.
The adapted Skystriker, is pretty cool. But Largely offended by the retail price. I feel like it should be closer to 75. No part besides the new AVAC pilot is at all imaginative. The green Hiss, is really the biggest turd in the bowl in my opinion.

I wonder if there's a problem with the Rattler mold...it's been awhile since Hasbro has reused it. Maybe it finally broke. Could also be they've determined it just won't fit the new figures well enough (it was a tight squeeze for the 25th and figures have only gotten bigger since then). There's also the possibility they're saving it for a SDCC exclusive T-Former crossover. Viper, anyone? For all we know, there could be an updated Rattler in the works, retooled for larger figures.
I also wonder about the Conquest mold...seems like that would've been a cost effective large vehicle for the 50th. Maybe both the Rattler and Conquest are just too costly from a labor standpoint to produce at a reasonable price nowadays. They're pretty assembly-intensive, especially the Rattler. Or perhaps they don't meet safety standards anymore. At any rate, for some reason, they've both apparently been shelved for the time being. Last edited by SmokeBellew; 08-02-2015 at 11:24 AM.. |

It seems like Hasbro has been using vehicles that break down to fit into smaller boxes lately. Maybe that is why they are not using the Rattler or Conquest.
