Really unnecessary figure. Bottom line is some figures benefit from modern changes and updates. Once you're past 1986 you don't need to slavishly copy the original colors and specs, because almost nothing past 1986 is iconic. Especially when the bright coloring sets in, as it started to in 1987 with a couple figures like Law and Fast Draw.
30th Law was a perfect update. The community itself said so by the eBay prices, which had him selling better than his casemates Lifeline, Sci-Fi and Airtight consistently, all 3 of which more slavishly copied the originals than Law did. Gave it a 5. Unfortunately this grizzled, modern head looks laughable against the playskool colors, so the figure doesn't quite work even if you missed the 30th Law. Perhaps more muted reds and blues would've made for a better compromise. Last edited by JediJones; 05-26-2015 at 07:00 PM.. |

I really think the vest could be better. They should just use the POC vest with the better badge.
Maybe we should post this on the club forum. :wink wink: Edit: It's really just the badge I don't like. I told the club on the forums.

Not spectacular, but an easy lay-up of a figure we all knew they could do. If they pulled that off all the time (the minimum, imo), they would be beloved. Not a slam dunk, but a solid "8."

I like it, gave it an 8. Looks like as near a perfect ARAH update as can be done. The head seems a bit off, I guess they couldn't make it look like the Hasbro guy (hate to just call him that, but I can't remember his name) for legal reasons or something ?

An all new Bozigian head by BFS would have been the icing on the cake.
I agree about the badge.

I still prefer the Renegades version. The only thing I'd change on the original would be to paint the t-shirt red. Nothing spectacular about this version. I would've thought that majority of people that wanted this would have made a custom from the Renegades version already. They should have gone ahead and changed the lower legs to bloused boots. No real interest in paying more for less.

I hated on Barricade so I'll give this one a 10.
Exactly what I wanted knowing it would not be a new head.

I gave it a 9/10. I can get past the badge. My only critique is the functionality of the vest. It looks great, but it may be difficult for him to keep his arms adducted, or at his sides. You need a wide torso for that vest, and I don't think that torso is wide enough. I guess we shall see.

7. I despise non-functioning holsters/sheaths.
The figure is fine, but I'll gladly keep my 30th version.
