Hama loves his Blue Ninjas, a Convenient plot tool. I would not be surprised in the least if/when they decide to resurrect SE, we'll find out it was actually a Blue Ninja disguised as SE.
I see know one is mentioning the fact that it was Duke's braniac idea to throw the grenade in the 1st place knowing that Serpentor had the Giant robot there to protect him. Maybe Duke knew that and had a hunch SE would do what he did. Pre-mediated murder! lol and just who was consoling Scarlett at the end????/ yep Duke. Dirty Bugger!! I stopped reading the Joe books a couple years ago. The constant re-boots of the new line of books were stupid. How many GI Joe #1 do we really need. As for RAH. I was excited when Hama was brought back. I followed the first 6 or 7 issues but I found them bland. I don't know if Hama caught magic in a bottle in the 80's, but whatever he once had is gone. Maybe he is overrated?

...It was not telekinesis. It is hard to tell in that panel but it sort of looks like a piece of the PIT by Serpentor smacks the grenade like a baseball bat right back at Duke.
See the motion lines underneath that giant metal arm? That is either a piece of the PIT or the robot's finger. I am not sure which. Serpentor was also in mental control of the robot. So either way he flicked the grenade back at Duke, he did not move it with his mind. Last edited by seaneley; 04-29-2015 at 06:56 PM.. |

I've never been one who's cared for IDW's take on Joe.
Snake Eyes' death was... just no. I really hope they lose the license agreement with Hasbro. |

One of the constant points of conversation has always come up regarding ARAH and GI Joe comics is how few Joes have actually died. On the IDW boards asking Hama, the editors etc for some Joe deaths has been regular topic. And since Hasbro has no ties to the comics like back in the 80's when a character died in the comic they stopped making a figure of them.
In the IDW conintuity, which is several series but NOT ARAH, they have killed hundreds of Joes many not named, many names created for the just that issue basically a Star Trek red shirt and of course B & C level Joes. So the ARAH continuity we go from little to deaths, in fact resurrecting one Sneak Peek, to killing off the #1 Joe. Of course he is the most famous and will have tremendous in story complications, so it makes for great story telling. But ARAH could have really used another major character dying before they killed off Snake Eyes. And as many have said they will find a way to bring him back, certainly most of his brainwaves are stored in Cobra computer files since he is probably the most scanned person certainly in most different version of the scanner. I really hope that HAma gets back to telling military based stories and many the sales will rise enough and the interest enough to get Special Missions #29 |

I haven't read the story but the description here sounds messed up. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have both toed the line of death several times in the past 30 years, but to go out as a suicide bomber? i would need to read this issue to say for sure but that doesn't feel right to me.
