Meh...I guess I am more in line with the 3 3/4" figures. The detail that has been coming out in the 3 3/4" figures over the past few years doesn't make me think that a larger scale is needed for more detail. Plus, we wouldn't be able to use our vehicles. I'm out!

The ninja design is so generic. The only way to be in trouble is if all the wrinkles line up on the final figure. The Storm Shadow sculpt may be original, but the design has been around for decades.

No Thanks...don't want 6"...
I agree with someone else, the detail on the 3 3/4" nowaqdays is awesome, & based on the 6" Star wars I've seen up close...What greater detail is there? these just looked like bigger 3 3/4" When I want Joes...I want 3 3/4"! |

I have an update from the Cryptid Toys Team
Quote:
With the “Army Alphas” line from Cryptid Toys, you can finally build YOUR army, YOUR way!
Cryptid Toys will deliver the intricately sculpted, super articulated 1/12 scale (6") action figures that the collector community craves. Having been an action figure collector, customizer, and enthusiast for many years, I decided it was time to make the jump to an action figure manufacturer since toy companies were not producing the figures that many collectors have been clamoring for. Working with some of the most talented sculptors in the business who have not only worked on some of the most popular brands, but also with leaders in the industry, these figures will be brought to life from concepts to high quality action figures. >Freelance Sculptor- Adrian DF Melton: Adrian DF Melton has been digital sculpting for Eightball Studios (aka Steve Kiwus) since 2010, and has worked on projects for Mezco Toyz, DC, Diamond Select, JAKKS Pacific, Hasbro, and Dark Horse. He also works as a digital artist/character artist for Stillalive Studios, an indie game developer. >Freelance Sculptor- Dan Mitchell: Dan Mitchell has done freelance and in-house 3D sculpting work for Hasbro on some of their most prominent brands such as Marvel, Star Wars, Beyblade, Angry Birds, and Littlest Pet Shop. He has also worked on the very popular Marvel Legends Infinite line, doing sculpting on the Groot, Sabretooth, and Phoenix Five Cyclops figures, to name a few. Cryptid Toys’ line of army builder action figures, called Army Alphas, will work fantastically as a supplemental line to all of your other 6” action figures collections. If you want to build expansive collections of various soldiers, SWAT officers, and skeletons, this line is for you! Each figure in the line will be packed with over 25 points of articulation (including rocker ankles!), will include a few weapons/accessories, and will have alternate heads or hands. Debuting on Kickstarter in the months to come, this line will need the help of the entire collector community to become a reality. There will be several figures offered from the start and several others offered as stretch goals pending the campaign’s success. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to remain up to date and not miss out on the Kickstarter campaign in the coming months. Stay Tuned! Austin, Cryptid Toys ********* While this is Cryptid Toys' first foray into figure production, the sculptors have ample experience helping to create mass produced collectibles and a reputable factory has been selected that has manufactured toys for several big name companies. They are helping to create the physical prototypes and have been very helpful thus far. The ninja sketch previewed is just a rough concept sketch that shows the concept art that is passed along to the sculptors. This is just used by the sculptors to block out a 3D model that will be the base for the final figure's sculpt. The ninja figure will be a stretch goal in the Kickstarter campaign. The initial funding goal will be for different Soldier, SWAT, and Skeleton figures. If the amount pledged surpasses that initial funding goal and meets the stretch goal amount required for the Ninja figure to be produced, then he will go into production as well. Thanks, Austin Gentry

Not interested.
I am a GI Joe collector. The bulk of my action figure collection is GI Joe. I do purchase figures and vehicles from other series (Marvel, Star Wars, True heroes, etc.) but only figures and vehicles that I feel are compatible with my ideal Joeverse. GI Joe currently does not have a six inch line so this new Kickstarter has no appeal to me whatsoever. Even I Hasbro did decide to make a six inch line for GI Joe I doubt that I would be interested in spending the amount on money it would take to add no Joe figures to my collection should I decide to support the scale. I would rather see Hasbro bring back Sigma Six eight inch figures than make a six inch line. At least the Sigma six figures had great play value for kids, a lot more child friendly than the current Star wars six inch series. It is nice of Hasbro to do things for the collectors but I would prefer if they would focus on getting more kids back into GI Joe. It would be better for all Joe collectors in the long run. |

Too many Kickstarters now. I'm interested in the Boss Fight, Marauder, and Eagle Force stuff, but it's hard to get excited when there's a new Kickstarter every month or two. I'll wait to see a more developed product on these.

Pretty exciting, not many 6" ninja figures out there and it's relieving to here what companies these guys worked for prior.
