Hey All!
(Now Updated with hi res pics) Just got home and had a box from China. Ten of the glorious resolute Alley vipers. These appear to be finished products with good paint apps. They arrived without weapons or the goggles that were featured on Shin's post. Here's the Breakdown CONSTRUCTION: Legs and torso : come from the resolute trooper. Range of motion on the legs is excellent for posing and one would expect these designs to be conserved between trooper and Alley Viper Arms: Straight up resolute Storm Shadow from the comic pack. It really was a great use IMHO. They appear to be modern body armor pieces and dont say Ninja in the least. When Gyre-Viper first reviewed the prototype, There was some worry about the shoulder pads falling off. No worries necessary!! All 10 arrived safely from the plastic heaven with shoulder pads firmly glued in place. Even better, when you look closely, they have dark blue horizontal stripes on them. Range of motion on the arms is ok. They can get caught up against the webgear and limit the movement, but you can easily slip the pads into the arm hole and get a full shoulder movement. Head & Helmet: Both of these as well as the webgear are new for this release. The Helmet fits well and snug and is definitely accuarate to the resolute toon. The Head is the most interesting piece. It is an all new cast in a semi-translucent silver plastic. Think Wraith silver with a clear coat that gives it a definite metalllic shine. under the metallic faceplate there are dark blue paint apps and painted eyes. I'm really sad that i only have camera phone pics to show you, because I feel this is a really nice feature. It would have been perfect for Destro's head in the ROC figure because of the depth and metallic shine it gives off without being Vac-Metal mirror Verdict: All in all a great figure that will be tough to troop build because it will be very popular. It's cartoon accurate and could fit perfectly in with your ME, ROC or POC collection seamlessly Last edited by goosetuber; 05-20-2010 at 12:22 AM.. |

So, what is the part break down on this figure? The head itself looks new, but is the rest just RoC parts?
