Please forgive me if this has already been discussed.....
I just saw where LOTR is coming to Blu Ray this Tuesday. I loved these movies but I am passing on this and holding out for the extended release set. $60 isn't a bad price, but if I'm going yo pay that, I only want to pay it once.

How stupid do movie company's think people are? My god they did this same thing with the DVD releases. That's why I own two copies on DVD. I think most(hopefully) will wait for both versions on the same disc. For gods sakes it's on TBS every freaking weekend in HD. If you can stand the commercials........

I'm going to wait on this. I go to this web site that gives blu ray ratings on audio and video and he gave the video transfer a low rating witch is rare for a movie like this. Check it out. http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/2313...gstrilogy.html
