I don't really remember ANY cartoons ever coming to a proper conclusion. Aside from anime, the only ones that I seem to recall having an ending were Beast Wars and Conan.

I really thought with the long run of Samurai Jack, they would have had the momentum to finish any vision Tartakovsky would have had. It took me about 4 episodes to really get into it, but when I did, I was hooked.
For some reason, I also loved the reintroduction of MOTU on Cartoon Network, and I was disappointed that it was replaced with a cheap version of Transformers full of whinier kids than Shia Lebouf. In regards to Kidd Video, didn't they resolve the cartoon with them finally getting home? Or did I just imagine that. In regards to D&D, I would be very interested in hearing the final episode, and I would love a link to buy the series! It was one of my favorite shows as a kid. |

Was there ever an ending for Gargoyles? I stopped watching that show after it turned into the Goliath Chronicles.

Shows like Kidd Video, Turbo Teen, Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors, and M.A.S.K never had an appropriate ending/conclusion.

Good thread idea: stories that weren't finished!
Spectacular Spider-Man is cancelled, it was surprisingly well done with continuing story arcs. I don't think it ended as suddenly as Dark Water of course, but I think there may have been some unresolved set-ups and romances. That's the problem with continuing dramas, they've got to resolve at least something at the season's end, and treat every season finale as a potential series finale, but that's no fun. Dark Water was too ambitious for its own good I guess.

Dungeons and Dragons. i want to know if they made it home, seeing how they could go back in just about every episode and didn't.

Inhumanoids finished its first season 13-episode run but kind of left viewers wanting more.
Robotech II: The Sentinels never even got around to being completed with just three partially completed episodes edited into a movie for video. |

Beast Wars was fortunate enough that the writers were given the heads up that the series was ending, but before the 90s? Nobody gave a flip I actually wish GI Joe Extreme had a chance for something of an ending. Cliffhangers are the worse to end on.
