Wrapped up the new seasons of Forensic Files and Unsolved Mysteries. UM really suffers from the new format (especially no narrator; the whole narrative is cobbled together from interviews and pertinent information inevitably gets left out) while FF kept its format, but has quite possibly the worst narrator I've ever heard in a professional program.
It's like the man is reading off a teleprompter that only shows one word at a time, because his intonation is all over the place, he keeps placing emphasis on random words, and every sentence is so start-stop that without subs it's hard to know where one ends and the next begins. I love Forensic Files (seen all 400+ eps) but this new version is... yikes. I'm on a bit of a vintage toy kick, reading up on Mego and all that, and my lifelong itch for a Kenner Steve Austin doll is creeping back, so I'm starting to watch The Six Million Dollar Man. I haven't watched it since the '90s, so I'm trying to get into a groovy disco mood. Maybe I'll finally finish The Incredible Hulk when I'm done! |

Got through the three Six Million Dollar Man TV movies and am about to start the show proper. I gotta say, the syndicated edits of the TV movies are awful. Like, an absolute friggin' mess, and you should watch the original cuts if you have a choice in the matter.
