The Patriot
Mel Gibson's other anti-English, highly inaccurate film (the first being Braveheart). This time, he portrays Banastre Tarleton (Tavington, in the film) as a brutal psychopath, while portraying his own character, Benjamin Martin (based on Francis Marion, among others), as an honourable person, even though contemporary historical accounts attribute Marion with numerous war crimes. In any case, we jump a few decades from the Seven Years' War to the American Revolutionary War, and it's a fairly enjoyable film, if you ignore the historical inaccuracies, as usual. Mel Gibson is always fun to watch in these type of movies and the action is top notch. Jason Isaacs is a fantastic villain here and I don't like Heath Ledger, so any movie in which his character dies is a good time, in my opinion.

The new HELLBOY with David Harbour. Jury is still out if I liked it or not, it was more comic book based I think and super bloody, but not sure about David as Hellboy.

the thing about it is wasnt cool. ron pearlman was like "hey guys, i really want to be hellboy again and finish up a trilogy." and studios were like "hellboy huh?" and pearlman was like "yeah, i want to be hellboy again!" and studios were like "people really seem to like hellboy all of a sudden" and ron pearlman was like "yeah! they do, and i played him and i want to be him again! they liked me as him!" and then studios were like "man reboots are all the rage right now!" and ron pearlman was like "i liked playing hellboy, i want to be hellboy again, and i have some ideas for a script!" and then studios were like "i wonder what that guy from stranger things is up to?" that bit of it sucked and was a huge weight on harbour's shoulders because pearlman was so great at it and loved the character. hell, all htat enough to go off and do make a wish type stuff as hellboy long after the second movie was done. so if you're not like me and can forget a lot of the studio bullshit, harbour's hellboy is good. but not as good as pearlman, but a third for those two movies i dont think would really work in retrospect because the second was not as good as the first (as far as im concerned) |

The Fall Guy (2024)
Really fun movie. I'm not familiar enough with the TV show to compare the two, but if you're looking for a fun action rom-com with some great stunts, it is a good movie to see. |

American Beauty (1999) - A very 90s movie. It may not have aged well, but it's hard not to root for Lester's fast food job working, Pontiac Firebird driving midlife crisis a little...even if both the role and actor are creepers in retrospect.

Senior Year
Rebal Wilson post weight loss. I thought it was pretty funny. She is a former Cheer Captain that after a routine gone wrong goes into a coma for 20 years, and when she comes out of it, goes back to finish her senior year. Tales of the Empire |
