uh, the fact that once again Magneto, Charles and Mystique dominated the plot, so that the eponymous villain was sidelined? the completely gratuitous sideplot where several characters are dragged to Alkali Lake just so they could shoehorn in a f***ing Wolverine cameo? The fact that Magneto caused mass destruction globally and basically gets away scot-free at the end? The fact that Apocalypse, who's supposed to be one of the biggest X-villains going, was a pretty pathetic one-note genocidal maniac? The fact that the plot for the sixth consecutive X-Men movie is about someone, mutant or human, trying to genocide the other side? the fact that Psylocke, Archangel and Storm are practically walking set decorations? The fact that Jubilee got the sticky end of the stick for the third time she's been in these films? The fact that Mystique spends most of her time looking like J-Law because she's become such a big star she got them to reduce her time in make-up?
just a few guesses...

I saw Logan Friday night and loved it. It's now my favorite super hero movie.

LOGAN.
Good, but not great. In a sense it sums up the X-Men in the film franchise, if you aren't Wolverine or Prof. X, you don't matter. |
