X-Men: Days of Future Past - A complete disaster. The worst X film by far. It just starts off horrible and never gets any better. Somehow the world has just turned totally grey in the time between the post-credits scene in "The Wolverine" and the start of this film. Honestly, it's such a Syfy channel looking horror that you wonder why they don't just all eat a bullet and forget it. Naturally it takes place in China, because all blockbusters have to feature China in some way now. Not just that, but in an old temple for some reason. And Kitty Pryde can send people's minds back in time. Again, no explanation. Given all the changes they've made to the comic story (and really, I don't mind that at all, movies are movies, comics are comics), why couldn't they just introduce Forge and say he built a time machine? Then Wolverine, Xavier and Magneto all could have gone back in time and interacted with their younger selves. More nonsensical shit ensues. Wolverine remembers an old friend (odd for a guy who couldn't remember anything past the mid-80's when he got the erased, or at the least they should have just had an old Quicksilver show up in the future greyness), who is just so incredibly useful and helpful that they send him home before they're even half done. Smart. Plus, he seemingly has a Walkman ten years before anyone else, which can magically play a whole song in the picosecond that he runs around a room. More smart. Then the worst Nixon impersonator you've ever seen shows up, there's a clip with what looks like a Sentinel rendered on a Commodore 64 getting metal put in it by Magneto and just various other garbage that I'm trying hard to forget now. They just totally screwed the set up that First Class worked so hard to make. The only good thing about this movie is Michael Fassbender. He should have had his own solo movie. The guy can rip RFK stadium off it's foundations, yet somehow he's able to get captured in between movies. Jennifer Lawrence is so overrated in talent and looks. She just blurts out lines. They needed a more athletic looking actress for Mystique. At least one with cheekbones. Her make up in these movies is so fake that it's distracting and takes you out of the film. I've always wanted to see Apocalypse in a film, but not now. Not with Singer directing. Hopefully that's his last film, so then it can be rebooted by a director smart enough to plan at least one film ahead, and not abandon the franchise, then make every film in the series completely redundant.

Really. I wish I could send my consciousness back a couple days so I could prevent myself from ever watching it.
