I just got this in the mail yesterday and watched it right away

It's just as awesome now as it was in 1986, but the LD is AMAZING! The audio on this is the BEST I've heard of any version! I actually never knew that the groanings of the space ship were actual words for the last 30 years, but yesterday, listening to it on LD for the first time, I could understand the groanings that the boy heard just before he escaped his room.
BTW:
This thread is messed-up. EVERYTIME I click on it i can't connect, and get a message that it has a redirect loop in it, or something like that.
I finally got thru by clicking PAGE 3 instead of NEWEST or LAST PAGE.

Brotherhood of the Wolf - I remember loving the trailer for this back when it first came out, and ordering the Canadian 3 disc Director's cut DVD. But it just hasn't aged well. The picture quality is pretty poor, even for a dvd. I've never seen a blu ray of it here, but I'm sure it's out there. The director's cut is just way too long though. Probably about 40 minutes too long. Don't know what the theatrical length is, but it has to be better. Mani is still really cool, and the "wolf" looks great, but the movie needed more of both of them. And maybe a little less of the long lost French brother of Mickey Rourke and Thomas Jane. He was much better in the last half of the movie though. This movie really needs an American remake.

Pulp Fiction - It's been a few years since I've watched this, yet I still remember every little thing about it. The only thing I hadn't paid much attention to before was the black and white background during Butch's cab ride. Apparently from the 1930's judging by the cars. But still otherwise perfect. Everyone in the cast was at the top of their game in this one. It makes it all the crap they've made since then seem even worse. Though if somebody said Travolta was actually better in "Get Shorty", I wouldn't argue, but this did make that possible.

Watched Species 1 on Laserdisc. Watching Species III right now...am I wasting my time? It was never released on Laserdisc so I have a feeling it's going to suck.
1 hour 45 later...it did, indeed, suck.
