The Last Samurai - It's been awhile since I watched this. It was the first blu ray that I ever bought. As crazy as Tom Cruise is, and as much as I hated him and all his early movies, once he started making the Mission Impossible films, he's really changed my opinion of him. In fact, I think I own more movies starring him than any other actor. Anyway, I really like this movie. The ninjas vs samurai scene is just incredible. And there's a ton of great supporting actors.

Contamination
Exactly the sort of cheesey Italian sci-fi/horror that I love so much.

The Lion King - Just as great as it ever was. Scar still gives me chills when he utters the incredibly simple and short line: "Kill 'im".

the Dark Knight

incredibly overrated but still enjoyable to me.the "bat fans" it has created are its biggest sin though.

love the chase sequence with the armored truck,Joker and Batmobile.

it was truly awesome sauce.despite what Nolan says it seems incredibly obvious he was gonna use Joker in DKR.

Star Trek: Into Darkness - I really enjoyed this. As I've said before, I've never been a fan of Star Trek, but I love J.J. Abrams' version of it. It's just great sci fi action. This sequel benefits by not having to tell the origins of everyone, and can just jump right to the action. They did a great job of not giving away too much of what the movie is about in the trailers, but I think that hurt the box office a bit. I couldn't care less about how much it makes though, because I'd rather be surprised by a movie than feel like I've seen it all already because of giving too much away in the trailers. The 3D was among the best I've seen too. Great fun, well worth the price. It's probably the best movie that I've seen in theaters this year, but I'm counting on "Fast & Furious 6" and "Man of Steel" to be my favorites of the year already.
