They're still shitty.
Argo - Damn, that was a good movie. Very tense. Even when you know how it ends! And everything looked authentic. A lot of times, movies set in the 70's tend to make the people look glamorous, when in fact everything was just plain ugly back then. Bad clothes, bad hair, bad everything. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm kind of a Ben Affleck fan now. yeah Argo was my last too.I really enjoyed it and got really into it.Affleck has proven to me he has good directing chops because I loved the Town too. |

Lisa and the Devil
Very strange and surreal Italian gothic that, like many films from the same era, makes little sense whatsoever. But by gum, thanks to the genius of Mario Bava, it looks good!

The Way Back - I picked this up late last year and have just been waiting to be in the right mood to watch it. I could tell from the trailer that it would be a serious movie. And it was, but a good one. In some ways, it reminded me of "The Grey" (even though this was made first). Great performances all around, even though I really only knew five people in the whole movie. A good diversion from most of the junk I usually watch.
