I got the mini-series of Kill Generation last week & watched all 3 disc in 2 days, this is one seriously awesome mini-series, but it kinda just finished & left me thinking 'What's next'?
Is there going to be another series of it? Also, I'm right into my War/Army/Military Movies/Mini-Series, are there any others that I should check out that are really good also? I have Band of Brothers which is also excellent. |

yeah HBO knows what they are doing with stuff like that. Also try the John Adams mini series HBO did around the same time.

Over There was a good show. It got canceled after the first season, and there are some inaccuracies. But I did enjoy it.

Over There was an awesome show. I loved Sgt Scream. He would have made a good Joe. Pretty sure he had a Ranger tab on his BDU.
Hey Gas.Man nice to see you back! haven't seen you in awhile. How's the MOC collection going? Btw, did you get Generation Kill in Oz or online? Never heard of it, till now but read the wiki entry and now keen to watch it. |

Based on what I had seen during my time in the Marine Corps, Generation Kill was the most dead-on accurate military movie/mini-series I've ever watched.
From the camaraderie to the retardedness, it was pretty real. It was based on a book by the same name. The real life Marines who the series was based on, were all happy with the way it came out. One Marine, Rudy Reyes portrayed himself. The book is better than the mini-series. |

Tyroc, we meet again... Yea I'm not too foul, just had a bit of a break from it all, working flat out outta town, the MOC collection is sweet, haven't gotten anything for alittle while though, but will get back into it no doubt, got myself a new car as well as a new Digital SLR, some lenses, external flash so some things have had to take a side step, haha.
I got Generation Kill here in Australia, I have read alittle on it on the net & was interested & then seen it advertised in Sanity Music Store so I grabbed it first chance I got, seriously amazing, get your paws on it if you can, excellent stuff. Once I watched it I went online & read into it alittle more, I will try & get my paws on the book & yea I knew Rudy was in the mini-series, comes across as a Princess but turns out to be hilarious really, he's just intouch with his emotions, haha. Kinda makes me think hey, I'm so full on into War, Military & it's history, why on earth didn't I join the Armed Forces here in Oz... Dumb Shit! |
