You really can't blame the creative team for that, though. It's clearly the work of the marketing dept capitalizing on the (wildly overestimated) popularity of the Wolverine Origins movie. The writers, to their credit, have done a lot with the characters, working in bits from classic stories as well as more contemporary ones. In an act of mild rebellion on their part, they even came right out and said Wolverine is a terrible leader through a line by Rogue, and actually use the situation to create more drama and conflict. Hell, it seems they use damn near everything at their desposal to create conflict and drama (Emma Frost, Rogue's faceheal turn, Magneto's family.
Pretty ballsy stuff for a kids show.

That is incorrect, Steven Blum is the voice of wolverine, not David Hayter. Wolverine is Resolute Duke, Spike Spiegel, Tom from cartoon network, and that's all I remember from the top of my head. He's has a lot of voice roles whereas David Hayter voices Solid Snake. They sound similar but are in fact two different people.

I just saw eps #18 and it was one of the best. Quicksilver was awesome in this one. We also finally got to see the entire x-men group fight with each other. Looking forward to #19 because we get to see Archangel!

Kinda dissapointed they didn't use Apocalypse for that, and good lord, Archangel's look is REALLY showing its age! They could've at least lost the skullcap.
Aside from those two nitpicks, it was a REALLY solid ep. They brought the whole thing between Angel and his dad to a head really nicely, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they resolve it. I just hope if Angel reverses his face/heel turn he goes to this look. It's said angels are neither male nor female, and sadly, this pic seems to confirm that. >_> |
