Anybody that says that the acting in this movie is ridiculous surely can't recognize good acting when they see it.
Christoph Waltz performance alone can carry the entire film. |

When I go to see a movie that is based in the 40's, I would think that they could act like it's in the 40's...
Good acting will sell you on a movie... Blackhawk down would be one... Saving Privet Ryan or even Traitor....

I went and saw this movie last night and all I can say is wow. This is one of my favorite movies for 2009! From beginning to end the dialogue, the tension, the acting, the brutal violence and the comic relief are just awesome! There are some really great scenes in this movie (the opening scene at the French farm, the interrogation scene where the 'Basterds' are first seen, the basement scene and the entire end sequence in the movie theater. Tarentino is back on top with his A game with this movie. Everybody in this movie does a really good job.
If you want to see really good acting mixed with some extremely violent action and some really funny lines that break the sometimes serious mood, then I highly recommend Inglorious Basterds! I give this movie a very good 9 out of 10 (I don't give 9's that often, but this movie deserves it)!

Strange Question. I'm currently in Afghanistan and the only access we have to current movies are really bad bootlegs but they are only $2 so I can't complain too much. The copy I have started out in French switched to english then I think German (I stopped watching at that point) and was subtitled in russian. Now was the English version completely in English or were they speaking German/French with English subtitles?

I hated it, and I thought that it was a cool concept. It looked like something from the sci fi channel, and the first third is boring as hell. I thought it was going to pick up with the building assault, but they had to switch back to the pseudo-documentary style again. I didn't think the acting was good, and the aliens looked like rejects from Doctor Who.
Total waste of time and money 3/10

I saw it tonight. I thought it was great. Much better than I expected. I thought it was just going to focus on the Basterds hunting down Nazis but I was pleasantly surprised with the storyline. I thought the acting was top notch and some of the scenes were so intense. If Christoph Waltz does not get an Oscar nomination, it will be a travesty.
