The worst western I've ever seen: "Wild Wild West" with Will Smith. They destroyed that concept. I loved the show as a kid, but the movie was terrible!

it was long but didn't feel long to me because I was enjoying the story. Then the ending felt so rushed it drove me nuts. I like the movie until the gunfight at the end. I just for the life of me couldn't figure out why in the blue hell the took a massive dump on history with that final gunfight.

Watch an evening with Kevin Smith and you will see something about that movie that will make you laugh. Truth is other than the one shot of Selma's ass crack the movie was worthless. |

for those interested in the backstory, the script for Tombstone is generally considered one of the best written in the last 20 years. the writer was originally hired to direct it, but got fired shortly into filming. Kurt Russel took over the reigns of the film, but didn't want the day to day bothers of actually directing it. Sylvester Stallone recommended he hire George Cosmatos to helm the film because he would do the work as well as do what Kurt Russel told him to do (Stallone claims that is the arrangement the two of them had on Rambo: First Blood Part II). just a bit of background on one of the coolest movies ever made and why Kurt Russel is one of the coolest guys, all 5'7" of him. |
