Same here, horror movies just not doing it lately, was really hoping IT was gonna be less camp and more terror,....nope. And even my beloved walking dead has become less zombie horror and more soap opera suspense.

I’ve been watching a lot of horror movies on Netflix and Amazon this year. They all end up on streaming services because they’re so low budget nobody will play them in a ‘real’ theater. Sometimes you get gems like ‘Savageland,’ that are actually quite good. Mostly not. For every good one I see probably 10 that are unwatchable.
The best horror movie I saw this year was ‘The Witch.’ Followed by ‘The Void’ and ‘The Babadook.’ |

I've heard good things about The Witch. I recently watched and enjoyed the Babadook, introduced my daughters to The Conjuring, Mama, and IT. Then my wife felt compelled to make us watch Chucky.

And I just recently watched AHS Roanoke. Amazing. If anyone is a fan of “The Last of Us,” you should try watching “The Girl With All the Gifts.” Last edited by solosam; 02-21-2018 at 07:03 PM.. |
