I'm kinda excited to see Justice League. I liked the extended cut of BvS, thought WW was excellent and SS was really good in some aspects but really missed the mark in others.

I'm hoping this movie pulls a Suicide Squad and smothers the box office and all the negative press. I've been waiting since I was 5 to see the Superfriends on the big screen. I know I'm not alone in this.

It may be lousy, but I'm still looking forward to seeing it (more so than any Avengers movie), and I'm sure I'll be happy with it based on what I've seen so far.
I get Marvel earned some credit with how their first couple films turned out, but really I've only enjoyed maybe four or five of their films. And I hate how you're almost obligated to see every one to know what is going on and who is who in the eventual cram-everyone-into-an-Avengers sequel. I applaud DC for publicly saying they want to make their individual films more stand alone and not rely on cameos and crossovers. Frankly none of the comic book movies in shared universes have been as good as the true solo movies, like Batman, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, Superman and Superman 2 and Blade and Blade II. |

Alot of people will hate movies that don't live up to their expectations, so they'll bitch and whine on why they suck. While me and the others will say positive stuff about them, because we like them.

Life sounds pathetic if you live it never excited about anything just so you can avoid disappointment because some things don’t live up to them. My condolences.

I'm just going to check this out on HBO like all the other the DC movies. I just saw the LEGO Batman movie on there last Saturday.

Considering the budget and marketing costs, if it only does SS numbers that will hardly be considered smothering the box office. No DCU movie has hit a billion at the box office, and considering the strength of the characters of this movie, if it fails to do so as well it’s a failure when the MCU equivalent Avengers films have both crossed that mark.
There aren’t any metrics, on its own merits or comparative, that this film will ever be considered a success. I’m not making any predictions. Idont know how it will do as I haven’t yet seen it. But there is always the opportunity of success.

-No Spoilers-
IT WAS AWESOME! ...and terrible. It's two movies that can't seem to come together. You can definitely feel the bits that are 100% Snyder (the fights) and the smiles and nods, and knowing winks that come from Joss... Personally, as a fan of BvS and MoS I would really love to see a Zack Snyder Director's edition... you get glimpses of it- but this feels like we've been watching DC Movies on Showtime and suddenly it gets picked up by ABC Family... Batman comes off as a mixed bag of Joel Schumacher and Tim Burton- Snyder's Batman is no where to be found. Aquaman and Cyborg were my favorites in the movie. WonderWoman was decent enough and -regardless of reviews saying she felt forced in- she has a big role to play. The fights are really what make this so awesome though- it really is SuperPowers in live action and I will easily be buying this when it's on video and watching it multiple times- There are two after the credits scenes- one that's just fun, and the second makes sitting through all those names really worthwhile. So that's my review. Awesome!...and a little bit terrible. |
