With the current hollywood trend it seems like every movie ever made will be redone at least twice. So what favorite movies would you like to see remade on the big screen again? Choose your favorite cast and director.
For me lately I've been thinking how cool it would be to have "Firefox" redone with better graphics and an updated story line. The movie was so cool to me as a kid. I would want Liam Neelsen playing the lead (I thought he did an awesome job in 'Taken')and directed by Paul Greengrass (Bourne Ultimatum and Supremacy) |

I know that 'Clash of the Titans' is getting remade and I've heard (an unknown source, mind you)that 'Hearts and Armour' will be remade, too (supposedly in the works with John Malkovich playing a role but the title will be different). I'd actually like to see a live-action remake of the 'Flight of Dragons' animated movie.

I loved Firefox too, but no one can replace Clint.
I'd like to see them re-make some Jules Verne classics with today's technology. I'd love to see 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and it's sequel, Mysterious Island. I'd like them to be remade as they were written and not mockingly like that last Brendan Frasier version of Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Somebody mentioned it in a different thread, but Remo Williams (The Destroyer) could be remade and I wouldn't complain.

hahahah
and Transformers. But anyway, There are some great older horror movies that had awesome premesis but due to lack of budget etc. just missed the mark. I love Lucio Fulci's the Beyond. With that said, if I won 50 million and had to spend it on a movie getting remade that would be the one. Same with Shock Waves. It always better to remake a movie that no one has seen rather than try a "re-boot" and get garbage like Rob Zombies Halloween and that last Friday the 13th crapfest.

I wouldn't mind a re-make/re-do of StarCrash. Another favorite from when I was a kid that really didn't stand the test of time (actually it was pretty dated even when it was first released) |

Agreed, the last Friday the 13th was a HUGE disappointment, I never knew Jason learned how to use a bow and arrow while in Camp Crystal Lake. The Halloween remake blows, and part 2 looks even worse, Rob Zombie should stick to what he's good at, what ever that is.

I loved that movie, but it was somehow cheesy even for those years. Phantasm? Or Phantom? The guy with the purple suit? That movie is PERFECT. The perfect cast, the perfect adaptation.
