I loved Hearts and Armour when I was a kid. I've looked for it on DVD for years and have never had much luck. I suppose it's probably not nearly as good as I remember it being though and best left to fond memories
I wouldn't mind a re-make/re-do of StarCrash. Another favorite from when I was a kid that really didn't stand the test of time (actually it was pretty dated even when it was first released)

that could be really bad ass.
as long as they kept the original soundtrack, it was better than the movie. in other news, I hear they are still trying to remake suspira. that makes me want to vomit.

'Hearts and Armour' is not available on DVD.... just VHS. There are a few V-CD copies floating around but you might as well get the VHS copy. I've actually been trying to finbd what the original studio was that produced the movie (Warner Bros. distributed it on VHS) so I could grovel to them to please release it on DVD. But I think you're right.... it probably wouldn't be as good as you remember it but you had to love the knights, the skin, and the soundtrack was AWESOME. Apparently, there is a movie coming out called 'Love and Virtue' that is supposed to be something of a remake with the storyline altered so that instead of the Xtian/Muslim element, (for obvious reasons), it deals with the Charlemagne Empire. Here is a makeshift trailer that someone made for YouTube of the original Hearts and Armour:
Awesome! Thanks for all that. Stinks about that DVD but now I can stop looking :( Everything you said about that movie was awesome. I rented it and was watching it with my dad, but he got up and left in the beginning when the guy gets his head (or arm?) chopped off and blood is spraying everywhere. A classic! |

Street Fighter, and this time make RYU the main character g*d damn it!
Electric Dreams - It came out during that stint of 80's movies where Hollywood made it out like anyone with a computer and a phone line could take over the world's computers, and computers in general where like these magic devices Aeon Flux - If the actress doesn't want to wear a show-accurate outfit, then she doesn't need to be AF. The Punisher and Daredevil - C'mon SOMEONE has to get these right...or is there no hope for these guys?

But then they wouldn't fit in with all the non-sense and bad acting of the original trilogy.
