As much as I like Rob Zombie, I think American McGee's Alice in Wonderland would be much better! ;)

I think the only way to make that movie creepier is to get the director of "Saw" to do it. I don't see "Return of Oz" working today with the special fx. Something would be lost in all the CGI. |

Universal Soldier, great concept but horrible acting, directing and looks very low budget and dated....
keep Dolph though! |

"They Live" needs to be remade with the Piper man and Keith David.

Actually, a CGI "Wizard of OZ" that's a little closer to Baum's work is being made by John Borman. Dorothy is more of a tomboy in it, which should be interesting.
But why not "The Wiz"? The sad fact is, the late '70s nightmare fuel movie version bears little resemblance to the charming stage musical, which you can see here- (Trust me, it's better after the incredibly long overture.) It's more based on the original book where Dorothy is a girl from Kansas, not a teacher from New York. And the good witch she first encounters is not a 'numbers runner', but a sassy diva. Of course, I bring it up after the stage version with Ashanti (Who also played Dorothy in "The Muppet Wizard of OZ"), Orlando Jones (Best known for "MAD TV" and those "Make Seven....Up Yours" ads) and Dawnn Lewis ("A Different World" and "Futurama") is currently running. But I think I'd rather see that version on film. I have another musical remake I'd like to see, but I'll save it for later.
