Been watching this season, somewhat better from the stuff I saw of last season. Anyhow, Godric was definitely a pretty interesting character. The power to do whatever he wanted but the will to start realizing what was right.
I'm not a big fan of Eric, however. At least most of the vampires in this season aren't a bunch of douchebags like the ones that came to Bill's house in the first season. Quote:
Me too, but it was a great scene it taught me a lot about the Eric character.

Have not seen it around here yet in response to all the above lol, i didnt like eric at first, but the godric charachter really made me see eric in a different light, though it was cool that he saved sookie i kinda saw it coming when she sucked his blood. and i too hope that godric comes back in some way or another. i mean with all the crazy stuff going on with maryann anything is possible isnt it. ----- and side note. though the death pissed me off, VERY COOL SCENE. and thats cool about the soda thing, i wonder what places will actually sell it. I remember being able to buy Duff stuff from the simpsons at 7-11s and in response to Jason God Stackhouse.... SMITE MEEEEEEEEE!!!!! lol that scene was priceless.

I wasn't that put off by Godric's death, more that he was basically kicked around before that scene by the national Vampire lady (not sure on her name). He probably could have killed her without much effort yet she seemed to be very disrespectful, all for trying to make better the relations between human and vampire. That part didn't seem to fit too well with everything else that happened, but I guess it had more to do with what the preacher dude was saying after the huge fiasco at his church.

Well, thanks for ruining it about Godric.
I was going to post that my girlfriend and I watch it, but we're two weeks behind. So appreciate that. I can't tell whether it's the best show or worst show, but it's definitely addictive. The acting is a mix between atrocious and great, as are the characters. The Southern accents are terrible except for Jason, and the actor is Australian. I despise Anna Paquin, and I can't tell if I like Tara or not. But any show that can work a gay, black, Southern short order cook/drug dealer/prostitute as it's best character sure is doing something right. Lafayette is awesome. I really tried to like this show, as I was hooked on Six Feet (the finale was, I think, the only television show that ever made me choke up)...but it's just awful.
I'm sorry...but I dunno how you people watch this tripe. I think I'm a little shocked to see a 'fan' thread on the Tank, to be honest.

I can't stand Sookie either, and don't like Tara. However awesome characters like Andy Bellefleur, Eric Northman, Lafayette Reynods, and Hoyt Fortenberry make up for it. Hell I kind of even like Vampire Bill and Sam Merlotte. I guess I just like the supporting cast better than the main cast. |

That's about where I stand. They seem to have much more interesting things going on with and around them, whereas Sookie is rather bland imo.

it's not sopranos but it's better than most of the junk on the big networks. my wife read the books and is hooked so it's something we take time to do together. when you get maybe an hour a day, you take it where you can. our show changes from time to time but for now, it's true blood. it's better than some of the older shows we used to watch together like mad about you and wings.

I've liked the show since it started - sometimes I think they go too over the top with the amounts of sex and nudity, but hey, it's HBO. The vampire-related stuff has been great, though, and the supporting cast has been terrific. So has Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica vet Michelle Forbes as this season's "Big Bad" - plus she still looks great!
