Just got back from this flick and gotta say....I liked it...Alot. I used to love Sam Raimi. I really love the Evil Dead films (who doesn't)I always enjoyed Darkman. Spiderman was good and Spiderman 2 was great. Even liked Hercules legendary journeys and Xena. But then came the abomination that was spidey 3. And stories about how much of a stuck up dick Sam Raimi is. i really kinda stopped likin the man. I feared all the rumors of him being in the running to direct The Hobbit(thank god they picked Del Toro)But this film was a trip back to those old days. Very much along the same lines as the evil dead films. Old school feel. Funny as hell. And actually kinda scary. Now its predictable and by no means a great story but its a fun ride. I really enjoyed this film. And if you are lookin' for a fun film to see this is a good summer flic to catch. I was let down by Terminator and Wolverine this summer and I'd recommend this over either of those films.(star trek still being the best of the summer)so if you get a chance check it out.
I went to see it sunday and liked it alot. Some of the lines Alison Lohman had completely reminded me of something Bruce Campbell would say. It was cool to see Ted Raimi in it.
