Does anyone else remember the show, "Unsolved Mysteries". I always watched it growing up because my parents were always gone for some reason. So here I was 7 years old, home alone, and watching Unsolved Mysteries. I also couldn't watch the intro to "Tales from the Crypt" it was so horrifying that I hid the channel changer. I always thought that zombies were in my bathroom waiting for me when I hear that music. I don't know which was scarier. But everytime I heard the theme music, and the intros to the show. I just wanted to cry. Whats your Unsolved Mysteries moment? Last edited by Zoltron; 05-19-2009 at 02:24 AM.. |

I always liked it. My parents wouldn't let me watch horror movies, so Unsolved Mysteries was the next best thing.
What scared the jeebus out of me as a kid was America's Most Wanted. That first episode, where John Walsh told us all how his son was kidnapped and they found his head 2 miles from the rest of his body. I was 6 when I saw that. Brr. I now have an autographed glossy of John Walsh. |

LOL!!!!! that theme song got me too. Spike TV has UM on their line up and I thought alright new mysteries, but not. All they did was change the host update some of the intro stuff. Same great theme song, all old mysteries

Yeah, it freaked me out a bit, but I always knew it was alright since Ultra Magnus was the host...
When I was growing up I had an unnatural fear of anything that had "scary" aliens in it. I consider scary aliens to be 'grays'... ... those things still freak me out. |

Robert Stack's narration was creepy ,especially when they would do a story on the paranormal .

Did you ever notice that they put Robert Stack in the strangest places? Like he would in abandoned alleys, grave yards, hospitals, etc.

the alien or ufo episodes always scared me the most, and my older sister would always make it more scary by doing or saying something to make it seem more local if that makes any sence.

The music was kinda creepy but I'm about 7 years older than you, so by the time I watched this show I just thought it was cool rather than scary. I was a Latch-key kid, so lots of time alone with t.v. and many scary moments so I do get it.

They want to know what I'm doing, but never wanted to be there. But your right, I did spent a lot of my younger years watching stuff I shouldn't have on tv. |
