I'm guessing it falls under "Everything Else" then. Granted, Ka Zar is a minor character and the Savage Land is just a small piece of the comic world, but it would look great in a movie. I know Apocalypse had a base there, because I have the Wolverine one-shot where he tore it up and had a baby with some tribal woman down there. But didn't Mr. Sinister have a base there too? Seems like that would be somewhere new for the X-Men movies to head to. And what's taking them so long to bring in Cable?!
Agreed man.....seems like all the X-bads have had a base down there at some point. Magneto, Sinister, Apocalypse...and one of the mutant hate groups. I want to say "the Right" but I may not be on point with that one. On the subject of Cable? I dunno.....is it his backstory? Kind of unrelated but I have a feeling X-Force may be getting tapped to ape GOTG and Suicide Squad. And before "you know who" leaps down my neck about it? No,I have no basis in fact for this....just a feeling I have. Mutant criminals being banded together for Government missions? Or would that be TOO much like SSquad? |

Let's not take differing opinions personal guys. Agree to disagree. I know debates like this can get heated but they shouldn't turn into trading insults.

Seeing all this news about Spidey going home makes me wish Doom and the FF were as well.

On the bright side Universal might enter into a deal similar to the one Marvel has with Sony and let Marvel do the "heavy lifting," far as the actual film making process is concerned, while Universal handles distribution and marketing. I'd love to see the FF rights revert back to Marvel and see how Marvel Studios would incorporate Marvel's First Family into the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By the way, did anybody go see this?

my boy still wants to see it- but after all the bad news about it (mainly that it is boring and lots of the cool scenes in the trailer aren't even in the movie) he sort of was more "meh" about it. Since I'm not big on dropping cinema money on a movie he only is sort of interested in we're just going to wait for home video. I'll waste $15 on the dvd release but not $100 on a full family day at the movies for it.

No the FF are at Fox....I did see this and it was brutal......so bad its unreal. Jordan was everything I had feared. I must stress I didn't pay.....I wouldn't have either. My Friend Liam got me into see it one night when he was staying behind cleaning. I had made my mind up early on that Trank, Jordan and their sh*t attitudes wouldn't be getting my cash. Personally I was delighted it "tranked".....LOL. |

Universal has some rights to Namor and the distribution rights to Hulk. Hence why we haven't had an Incredible Hulk 2. Marvel owns the production rights, but Universal would get the right to distribute it. The Namor rights are said to be complicated. Fox has the rights to X-Men and Fantastic 4. They lost the rights to Daredevil, because they took too long to try to reboot him. Marvel also regained the rights to Punisher, Ghost Rider, Blade and some other characters that were never produced. They're sharing the Spider-Man rights with Sony.
