I thought it was good. Good, not great. A few things were off but not enough for me to get all nerdy, and trust me, I wear my geek colors proud. I feel it had to many characters and was too short. It did leave me wanting more. As far as Deadpool, I wasn't as dissappointed as I thought I would be. If he had his costume in this movie, I wouldn't be too excited for his solo joint. Alot fanboys are all rabid about what was done in the movie. In the beginning I shared the same outrage, but then I wised up and noticed I'm no longer a fanboy. I'm a fanman. So with my big boy steel-o, I say check the movie out, and too all you cry babies...I ain't even gonna do it, I like the Tank and I don't wanna get banned for being too hood.

Wade having optic blasts for one. I did like Ryan Reynolds portrayal of Wade in the start of the movie. Pretty easy to follow even if you didn't know some of his background already. Of course while my sister went for Jackman, I wanted to see how they'd handle Gambit. I thought he did well but could have had a little more time onscreen helping or something and needed a better accent. All and all, I thought it was a good movie and would see it again. |

I agree, the special effects were horrible. and there were so many things I didn't understand, did cyclops wear those sunglasses to school all the time? If so, why did the teacher act as if it wasn't normal? how did Logan's claws get so sharp? weren't they just pointy bones? If that metal is so strong how did they melt it? in all of those wars neither of them got shot in the head? why test the adamantium fusion on a potential enemy (Wolverine) and possibly make them indestructible and not an ally (Sabretooth)? what the heck was Gambit's power? at the end when Logan clearly had amnesia why did Gambit ask him if he knew the woman? (if Logan asked Gambit, it would have served the same purpose and not make gambit look like an idiot). Why didn't that gun guy use adamantium bullets when he was snipping? what were they trying to achive with a helicopter and 2 humvees against an indestructible foe? If that woman's persuasive power didn't work on Sabretooth why would it work with Wolverine?

Good point, but you could possibly write it off as they had helmets in the later wars and the earlier wars had guns that weren't very accurate. (I know it's a stretch) Quote:
Yeah, it wasn't explained in the movie so I can see confusion about this Quote:

But it didn't. She tried to use it on him when he was going to start a fight at the bridge and he didn't stay in the car. She even said so after the fight |

I wish I could figure out the multi quote thing. Never have been able to get it to work.
Anyway, in the comics wayyyy back when and no one ask me what issue since I barely recall these days, it was explained the process to make adamantium into a liquid form. They did briefly show Gambit charging the cards which is what tossed Logan out of the bar so I guess that was their way of simply showing Remy's kinetic powers. Stryker, I believe, had two possible plans. He expected Logan to die in the experiment so he used the most dangerous person to stop him. Then when it worked he planned on wiping his memories. He discounted on Logan's enhanced hearing. He didn't have Zero use the adamantium bullets because it wasn't revealed until after the incident at the farm that the only thing to take him down were those type of shells, I believe. |

Seriously, the adamantium bullet + "super shooter" mutant thing is a gigantic, idiotic plot hole. Didn't ruin the (entirely mediocre) movie for me, but it was a glaringly obvious bit. |

They clearly had the gun and bullets prepared ahead of time (they even came in their own special case). Stryker just apparently sent another one of his loyal and competent soldiers out to get killed for the sake of making Logan look badass.
Seriously, the adamantium bullet + "super shooter" mutant thing is a gigantic, idiotic plot hole. Didn't ruin the (entirely mediocre) movie for me, but it was a glaringly obvious bit. Also, how did Deadpool turn on and off the optic blasts, yet Cyclops can't? I know the comics made his claws all boney after the adamantium was removed, and then retroactively wrote his pre-adamantium claws to be bone too, but the jump from jagged/spikey claws to sharpened/machined blades seemed a tad much of a jump. They should have made his pre-bone claws get broken off and replaced with surgical ones (they broke them off anyways when Sabretooth snapped them off one hand) or made them visually look closer to claws, instead of thorny like they appeared. My girlfriend wanted to know how he went from jagged bone claws to surgical blades, and also how Deadpool stored those long-ass blades in his arms. My answer: bad movie magic. |
