Agreed. I do like his voice, but it needs to be a little more robotic. I think JARVIS has that slight robotic tone to his voice. Either way, that trailer was awesome and I'm really excited. I wonder if they'll tie this in to AOS like they did Cap 2. It would make sense that if an army of giant killer robots was wreaking havoc on NYC that Coulson and his gang would join in the fight.
It's not like Cap 2, where the movie comes out before the season is over. This is honestly a good thing, because the show really floundered early on until the Cap 2 twist. Having another season of "lets wait around for the movie tie-in" would have been really bad. Thankfully that's not what they're doing. There's already been more momentum in the first few episodes than the entire first half of season 1. I mean hell...the first 3/4s of Season 1 feel like a completely different show from what we have now (not a bad thing), and I say this as a guy that LIKED Season one. |

If anything, the Season finale of Agents of Shield will probably be a direct lead-in to Age of Ultron, but since Age of Ultron doesn't come out until after Season 2 will be over, it's doubtful we'll get TOO much of a direct tie-in.

As for season 1, I agree it seemed almost like two different shows after that Cap 2 events, but it kind of reminded me of the X-Files where you had the Alien conspiracy episodes which were all cohesive and then the stand alone episodes that had nothing to do with that story arc. Plus, they had to introduce us to these new characters and flesh out their story before the big twist. Overall, I liked season 1, but you are correct, season 2 has started out much better. Plus Lady Jaye joined the team so that's pretty cool.

Is there a set date already for the season finale for season 2? Because last year it was on May 13th. I'd think this season would end around the same time, since it only premiered a day earlier than it did last year. Maybe after Stark's peacekeeping service or whatever it is fails, then SHIELD is able to step in and get back to full strength. Coulsen should probably show up in the movie at some point too. Even if it's just a post-credits thing between him and Stark.

I'm not sure of the exact date of the last episode, but IMDB has episodes up til 12/30. Then there are supposed to be 8 episodes of Agent Carter and once those are over, the last 7 episodes of AOS. Assuming there are no off weeks, the last episode of AOS would be 2 weeks before AOE. I'd like to see Coulson back in the fold in the movies but we'll see.
Conversely, they could delay an extra couple of weeks and have the tie-in be an episode or two before the finale and then deal with the fallout in an episode or two. |

Yeah, IMDB just lists the finale as "May 2015", so it'll at least be on the weekend after the movie premieres here. It comes out a week or two earlier around the rest of the world. So we'll likely get one episode to deal with the fall out of the movie at least, and another to set up cliffhangers for season 3.

AOS is impressing the hell out of me this year. I loved the first season too but so far Season 2 is better......

Love the uncertainty of the situation with the two Wards. Great work by the showrunners in playing with both the audience and the characters' expectations and their well-earned distrust of Grant as a character.
I'm suspecting Christian will totally end up being the monster Grant claims he is, but the writers didn't take any "easy outs" with Ward last season, so may be they'll carry through and it'll turn out Ward really IS just a complete and total psycho. Beardy Creepo Ward might be my favorite literal expression of the "Growing the Beard" trope since Riker. Who woulda thought that the bland Brett Dalton we saw for most of Season One would turn out one of the show's most interesting characters? |

When are they going to have Mac do something other than carry a greasy rag around? Henry Simmons could have made a good Luke Cage, and I know helping Fitz is his main job now, but he's being wasted.
I was hoping Hunter really was going to leave. The bickering with Bobbi was getting annoying, but hopefully they got past that at the end. When she inhaled that bad guy. Ick. Given how big the cast is now, Hunter seems like someone that could be killed off during sweeps or something. |

Given how big the cast is now, Hunter seems like someone that could be killed off during sweeps or something. I know it's gonna sound horribly PC, but the black characters are being totally wasted. Triplett gets to stand around and make Will Smith one-liners and that's it... Mac gets to be Fitz' interpreter...and that's it. Seriously, they brought in Hunter to be the replacement Ward (Agent Beefcake) when they ALREADY HAD a replacement Ward with Triplett. I don't mind Hunter as a character, but yeah, the cast seems to be getting set up for a brutal cutting down (Though it may not even happen until Age of Ultron). It doesn't speak well of the showrunners. Hell, you could've even had Triplett being Bobbi's ex-husband. It might've been a different dynamic but at least it would've given him something to do. |
