After months of being nagged to see it, I gave Doctor Who a try. Holy Cow, I have a new favorite tv show! I'm halfway through the second series of the relaunch and the quality has greatly improved from series one.
Anyone else enjoy this show?

I did like the campy Tom Baker Dr. Who that I grew up with, but the relaunch was sooooo much better. I really liked Destro, I mean Christopher, but Tennant (10th Dr.) became my favorite after his third episode. If you are only halfway into season 2, you have only better things ahead. Once Captain Jack is introduced, check out Torchwood. Sadly the current doctor Matt Smith has been a letdown, but his last episode will be the Christman special this year. The Sarah Jane adventures is geared at a younger audience, but worth a look. Season 4's last two episodes "The Stolen Earth" and "Journey's End" as a two parter is my favorite. A total geek-out season end that I still watch several time a year. Enjoy.

I have watched the relaunch in it's entirety (including the minisodes) 3 times now, can't wait for the 50th Special in November!

Don't want to get into a best Doctor debate (Smith ;)) But the new series is fabulous..all 3 Doctors have been awesome...a great show. The only part of the series I felt took away was too much Rory ruining the chemistry between Doc and Amy... Rory should have been in about the same number of eps as Micky tops.....

I need an overcoat like the Tenth Doctor's! Where can I get one?
It doesn't even have to be exact, just close enough. I'll be wearing a black pinstripe suit with it for now anyway.

I like Rory. I just felt his constant companionship hurt the chemistry with amy that was definitely there early on...

i like having a male companion. it's nice to have an identification figure with the same chromosones as me.
i'd like them to be really radical and have a solo male companion for at least one season... no gay subtext just two bros out saving the world. |

I was thinking the same thing in a way. The stories with Mickey and Captain Jack traveling with the Doctor and Rose were some of my favorites just to see their relationships to each other.
