It's not the complete series. Just two volumes worth.

Sorry, but after rewatching an interview with Joseph Campell where he praised the original trilogy as one of the greatest examples of a modern mythology, the prequals and their children really lose their shine. Back on topic. I think on its good days, Samurai Jack pretty much elevated the entire medium of storytelling in animation. It systematically broke every conventional rule of western TV cartoons and then set fire to the remains. One of the most tightly ingrained rules was that you HAD to constantly have dialogue, bucause kids would get bored if there wasn't something constantly happening (in the case of GI Joe and Transformers this led to some great witty dialogue, in other cases, not so much). Even to this day, english dubs of anime will insert a lot of dialogue where there was none originally. What does Gendy Tartakovsky do? He has the WHOLE FIRST EP tell the origin story with NO DIALOGUE! I knew this guy was the real deal just from some of the subversively great stuff on Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls, but this sealed the deal for me. Anything he does is an instant classic for all ages (grownups included). |

Hey, Viper 48, don't worry my oldest (5 now) grew up on Care Bears and is now a die-hard Joe fan, 'sides, if he likes it asmuch as the pic shows it'd be inhumane to take it away...lol.QUOTE]
LOL, he loves that thing. We got it at Target after Christmas while i was looking for joes. He wouldn't stop screaming until i let him have it. His mom thinks that is funny as hell. I just love to watch him cuddle with it...The Care Bears cartoon that is another story...D

Avatar: The last airbender - you can find all three seasons on dvd and it is a complete story. This was amazing: story, characters, and action.
Wolverine and the Xmen - this is the best new animated imo - just watch the hulk episode and you will be sold Brave in the Bold is plain good goofy fun The Clone Wars suffers from all that is Lucas (except the original when someone else wrote it and yes I know Lucas penned the first one.. but anyone can be lucky once).. weak story and characters but great visuals Hellboy Animated Movies - Blood and Iron and the Sword of Storms both on dvd Batman TAS is good. The best stuff was from the last two seasons all on dvd Superman TAS (both batman and superman lead into Justice League... how kickbutt is that!) Justice League and JLU rock... again on dvd Spectacular Spiderman is a very good show, Disney XD just started showing season 1 and season two has started to air in Canada and should be in the states soon DC movies: Wonder Woman and JL the new frontier are my favorite. Wonder Woman should have been a live action, the story was that good. Marvel movies: Hulk Vs. (do not miss this), the other marvel movies are entertaining but not great... |

South Park is still one of my favorites. I just bought the 12th season on Blu Ray. It's great.

I remember watching a cartoon when I was little but I can't remember the name of it. It was about a high school kid that turned into a corvette or some other kind of sports car. I also remember Q-Bert, Pacman, the Rubik's cube cartoon, Teen Wolf, Snorkels, and the Spiderman cartoon with Ice Man and Firestar. There were so many.
