I expected this show to suck hard, but I gotta say, as a fan of the original show, I was really surprised not only by how good it was, but the level of appreciation for the original. Not only did they have Susan Blu and John Moschita reprise their roles (Arcee and Blur), but when Eric Idle was unable to play Wreck Gar because of his working on Spamalot, they "settled" for Wierd Al Yankovic (who did the Junkions' battle theme "Dare to be Stupid" in the movie.
Not only that, they made the Decepticons a significantly greater threat. Starscream's backstabbing evil has been cranked up to 11, and their overall power compared to the Autobots makes the difference between a war machine and a construction bot VERY clear. Starscream single-handedly held his own against ALL the Autobots, only to be later pimp-smacked by Megatron. So, I gotta ask, why all the hate? |

For me it's the animation,it hurts my eyes. I can't watch it for more than 5 minutes before I have to switch it off. I can't get into the story line because of that!!!! THAT ANIMATION MAKES ME WANNA CUT MY WRISTS!!!!!!!

The show is okay... I do like Blitzwing and Bumblebee. Despite Bumblebee acts like he consumed serval cans of Redbull and Vault soda.
I dislike Starscream's Jay Leno Chin.

I love it!! The stories are great, the action is pretty cool. I love all the supporting characters they sprinkle in -- Omega Supreme, Blur, Arcee, Swindle.
Great stuff. I like the toys too, I just focus only on Joes.

I love the show, (and one of my friends worked on it) and the figures themselves are really well done. Very solid.

I'm personally kind of upset that the show is done after season 3. Seems like the toys are too. (damn movie coming out to ruin everything...) I hope they integrate other animated figures into the line down the road. Too many cool designs have been made or are coming up that need that plastic treatment.

While the art design dissuaded me at first, the stories are what won me over for this show. There are constant G1 references and is far more reverent to the original series than anything else being done or done before. The first few shows weren't the greatest, but with the focus on the Autobots vs. Decepticons, it is very similar to the original show. Plus, the toys are FAR superior than any of the other transformers toys as far as looking and transforming like they appear on the show.

Blitzwing! I think he's the reason I started watching. When I saw the resident triple-changer actually had three freakin' personalities, each one MORE crazy than the previous, I was sold.
And as for the toys, a lot of reviewers have said that Trans Animated is a testament to what can happen when the toy companies and studios work together. Their robot and alt-modes all look amazingly close to their animated counterparts. |
