Ever since the new Doctor Who series came to television, I've wanted to give my thoughts, but words cannot tell you how cool this series is. Growing up I watched the original series on ETV and even though I didn't understand it at the time I was amazed by the stories, now years later I get to watch this all new series with my kids and watch the same amazement in thier eyes that I had. The new series by Russell T. Davies is well written, the Score to it is nothing short of super, and for my wife to watch a Sci-Fi program is nothing short of cool. (of course she thinks David Tennant is cool). I like the way the stories give depth to this classic character. He always finds trouble and gets out of it with his quick thinking and his Sonic Screwdriver. So yes I'm a Whovian. Question is, are any of you?

I'm not a fan of Dr. Who, mostly because the unpredictable run times and airing schedules of it on PBS often prevented me from watching Red Dwarf when I was in high school.
Yes, it may seem silly to carry a grudge against the show for that, but I do. I like Chris Eccleston as an actor and would love to see him as, say, Major Bludd, but have no use for David Tennant. I like Billie Piper, though. Well, not when she sings. My wife, on the other hand, LOVES Dr. Who. Got her a Sonic Screwdriver for her birthday last year, and season 3 on DVD for Christmas this year. So it's probably only a matter of time till I have to watch it.

Irid, you must sit down and appriciate it for what is, and Billie Piper just did a BBC program called Secret Life of a Call Girl (very Hot) it was my way of getting back at my spouse for googling Tennant.

Well, I've been watching the first series like mad on DVD, and I can't wait until the second starts on PBS. (My dad hogs the TV and I can't watch Sci-Fi as much as I'd like. :/ )
And when Eccleston was cast as Destro, I was (figuratively) jumping for joy. Hey, lots of evil organizations have a north...

What I heard is that most of the companions so far will be in that season...as well as someone very close to the Doctor...

Give me the 'classic' DR WHO any day. I find the 'humour' in the new series embarassing.
