It seems the only thing most people can agree on, on this flim is that the Nazis had great uniforms, I can't help but agree, maybe this was a small motivating factor, as I've seen on The History Channel Documentaries, old German maids admitting to telling their sons and brothers in regretful tone "Oh they look so handsome in those Uniforms, you need to join up my little flagbearer", and shots of young German Girls fawning all over full dress Uniformed SS men in their Regalia...it's a small thing, but overall when you look badass, you tend to feel badass and cabable of ANYTHING...I'm sure Goebbells and Hitler knew the Psychological impact that had on their men.

well, really it wasn't the sticks that killed people it was the person wielding the stick. IMO I dont think glorifying the Nazis in any way is cool. just my opinion. but the uniforms look nifty. they looked nifty for a reason though. so that people respected and feared them. Hitler was a failed artist.

What's that smell? Did some one soil a diaper with Indian food?
Oh, no - it's Valkyrie. Each to his own, but I really thought that overall, this movie was not good. And I'm a big, big Terence Stamp guy (Son of Jor-El, kneel before Zod!) with nothing against Tom Cruise other than he's not very talented as an actor. My expectations were low and I did see a screener that as I understand it was about 30 or 40 minutes longer than the final cut released Christmas Day, but I've noticed what studio did marketing-wise as the release date approached - switched their focus from a mugging Super-celebrity to a moderately accomplished director. If Cruise owns a piece of UA, what does that tell you? He was putting this film at arm's length as early as mid-November, and it's not all his fault - I compare the direction on this film to Apt Pupil and if you saw that trash and can remember what it's about, and have anything other than a bad memory, you are seeing way too many bad movies, my friends... Bad lead role, bad direction, bad movie - with higher expectations, I'd probably think even worse of this movie. My thoughts too. I'm a slow reader when it comes to sub-titles. My buddies hate it when we watch a Animie, I stop it all the time... lol

If this movie was as bad as you think it was then what about movies like Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie, Norbit, Babylon AD, Love Guru, Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, etc? No way those are in the same league (I know this is a drama, but you get my point) Obviously it's your opinion so I don't have to agree, but this movie was not even close to being a bad movie. It was average at the absolute worst.
