You guys remember the first horror movie you ever saw. Mine was the OG Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but only kinda. My mom wouldn't let me watch it but i peaked through my key hole to see what i could of it. The first one i ever saw by myself was Motel Hell...That was a weird buy pretty good movie...I remember seeing it again when TNT had monster vision on late nights on the weekends...

Before Unsolved Mysteries there was a show called "In Search Of". That one scared the crap out me too. Leonard Nimoy narrated it, and it had the creepiest music.
I saw it recently and thought "WTF? How could I ever have been afraid of this?" Trilogy of Terror is awesome too! I own a Zuni Warrior prop replica. I think that was the first horror movie I remember.

I don't know what my first one is, but I remember seeing Friday the 13th Part 4 as my first Jason movie and I remember my dad showing me the original Night of the Living Dead around the time Friday the 13th part 7 was hitting cable.
I saw Nightmare on elm street way back in 4th grade. The first time I saw it, I only got as far as when the trashcan lid goes rolling off and I lost it and had to watch Hunter to calm down, later, I watched it at my friend's house during the day....then I literally had nightmares for at least a year. Stuff like I'd be hiding from Freddy in the bathroom at school, then I'd get on a high shelf and I'd see him walk in the room, look around and then walk out. I thought I was safe until the room started filling up with blood, I woke up before the was fully submerged. It all finally stopped when one day I realised Freddy was a ghost and couldn't actually touch me, he'd just go right through me. I had a final battle dream where I revealed this secret to him and he'd try to slash me but his hand kept going through me. However, somehow I could touch him, so I started beating him up. |
