I saw it last night and I have to say it was great!
From selling the comics in my shop I know the story lines and the writers got it right. I believe it was far better than the last movie even though that was very well done. It is rated R and extremely viloent. Exactly what a Punisher movie should be. Especialy from story of the Marvel Knights line. A good popcorn movie and fun to watch. The girlfriend and wife may disagree but they can go see Twilight. If you get a chance go and see it. I was inspired to make a Frank Castle custom as he looks in the film. Phalsis, |

I'm sorry that's not Thomas Jane. I don't care of someone bought my ticket, popcorn and a large drink, I refuse to go watch this movie. If it was supposed to be such a blockbuster then they woulda threw it out in the summer. Everyone knows all the really damn good movies come out between April and September. This movie is disappointment central.

I used to own a comic shop, and I have to tell you. I am not a punisher fan. He's a villain.
However, Punisher War Zone's Frank Castle is one I can get behind. The movie shows his humanity AND his murderous side. I went into this very, very skeptical, and came out thinking this is one of the best comic adaptations I've seen. Even with the stupid Jigsaw character, it's more of a Garth Ennis type story than anything else. My favorite scenes were the one with the leader of the Parkour trio, and the the one at the family dinner table! Perfect Frank Castle! The Rob Zombie song Warzone is awesome also! EDIT: Batmandk02, Jane is NOT, and NEVER WILL BE the Punisher. Ray Stevenson IS the Punisher. Just the way Tim Bradstreet draws him. They even threw in a nod to Bradstreet in the movie. Go see it before you judge. I hate the Punisher, and I loved the movie. This movie epitomizes Frank Castle. It's got Soap, and Budiansky, and Micro Chip. If you are a Punisher fan, you cannot ask for more!

I'm not a HUGE punisher fan, but Thomas Jane did not represent the Punisher that well IMO, I read a few punisher comics and followed the story line like war journal, This one looks way better and from reading the reviews it's what punisher should have been in the first place! this would have been a sequel instead of a re-make...

Yeah, Ray Stevenson IS the Punisher. Perfect choice. I liked Thomas Jane, but he wasn't perfect.
The violence in this movie is so over the top! I laughed for a long time on several scenes. Loved it.

Saw this on Friday, and have to say it's by far and away the best big screen adaptation of the Punisher. Great movie.

I haven't seen this one yet, but I am really looking forward to it.
Tom Jane did a great job as Frank. Hope that this one is as good as Jane's. |
