I tested the Blu-ray version out and oh my... this is a great reference Blu-ray disc to own....especially for the audio. From the first scenes of the dragging of the rocks, to the gun shots....and to hear the sounds around you....awesome!
I enjoyed this film more than "Iron Man" and "The Hulk".

Honestly, the first time I saw it I walked out of the theater depressed. Decided to see it again, and was just mesmerized.
Heath Ledger was incredible, I hope we never see another Joker performance, because there is no way it could live up to that one. I've seen it about 6 times (thanks to a bootleg copy I've had for a while) and am looking forward to watching the DVD I purchased today!

I saw it in theatres, I picked up the DVD during midnight madness and stayed up till 3 AM watching it again. The first time the Joker just blew me away! After seeing it again, I feel I know take it for granted that Ledger's performance is gonna be great and all the Two-Face scenes are drawing me in now I'd like to see more of him in the future, too bad it looks like we won't see either character the way they were in this movie (or at all with Two-Face)

I saw the movie 3 times in 4 days while in theaters. Ledger sucks you into the movie and won't let go. I think the next Batman movie will be great... but the Dark Knight rules right now! It will be really hard to replace Ledger as the Joker. That's also what everyone said about Nicholson after watching the 1989 movie. Someone is going to come along and we will find a fill in. But not right now.. let us enjoy Ledger and this badass Joker for the moment!

The Dark Knight was definitely the best Batman movie yet, as stated above, thanks to Ledger's Joker. I still found it a bit preachy (though not nearly so much as Batman Begins) and a little slower than it could have been. But overall, a great flick!
Iron Man was great fun, if perhaps a bit shallower than DK. I think that Downey's Tony Stark was fantastic, although I have no history to compare him to. Had he not played the part, I'm not so sure it would have been quite so much fun. And, of course you really have to suspend the laws of physics to enjoy it, but what comic book movie doesn't? Hulk I wasn't really that impressed with. Although generally fun to watch, I actually liked the first Hulk movie better, sans the Nolte character. I think it could have been a much better movie overall had they not completely blown the money wad on the final fight scene. |
