For those with the super large DVD collection..

Curious if many of you are selling of your DVD's for Blu-Ray, digital or just a netflix person?

Curious if your home looks like Hollywood Video or Blockbuster?

Show me pics of your collection...

I used to have about 8 of these DVD shelves...

I have since decided to eliminate all shelves and put them in binders. Kept the covers and inside booklets but eliminated all clamshells (tried to sell them on Ebay at .01 for 50 and they just pay for shipping but no one was interested), so trashed them.

Keeping my DVD's...don't have a Blu-ray player yet, so I'm in no rush to start buyin'em. Also there's just so much obscure stuff on DVD that may never hit Blu, so that compounds my procrastinating...

I don't think G.I. Joe cartoons are going to make it to Blu-ray. LOL.

I'm lucky; I think I only have like ten DVDs; last two I bought was Little Mermaid and Blade Runner. Unfortunately, I was one of the few people that thought laserdisc was going to hit it big. LOL.

I have a pretty large DVD collection, but can't take a pic as I have not yet unpacked them after moving. Although HD/Blu Ray is awesome, I am not rushing into it - I will wait a few more years until the prices start going down even more. Upconvert DVD players satisfy me for the moment.

I have a pretty large DVD collection. I'm in the process of switching over to Blu Ray. I know eventually Blu Ray will be obsolete, but damn I love the picture clarity and sound. When the new big thing hits I'll switch over to that...if it's better than Blu Ray.

As a musician and music lover, I own over 800 compact discs and several Hundred DVDs. I also put everything in binders and trashed all the cases ( the binders cost a small fortune!!). Now I keep everything in the closet ( all my music is on my mac computer, it took almost two years to put it all on my Itunes!) so my house doesn't look trashy or blockbuster-like! As far as blue-ray, I just got done re-buying all my VHS movies on DVD, I will be damned if I start over again! I will probably buy a blue ray and buy all my new movies on blue-ray but I will not go out and re-buy everything on Blueray!!

Keeping my DVDs because it's highly unlikely Blu Ray will ever replace DVD. As many said during the whole HDDVD vs Blu Ray war, both will lose in the end because most folks see no point in ponying up the dough for what amounts to nothing more than a slight improvement in picture and/or sound quality. Now, the day we see blu ray players for $39.99 and bins of $5 blu ray disks at Wal Mart is the day you'll see more widespread adoption of the format. Until then, I'd say Blu Ray is nothing more than this generations laser disk.

Yeah, I hear you about VHS Tapes. I've got plenty of rare cartoons and TV shows that I've recorded over the years that will never make it to the new formats, take Max Headroom for example. I plan on converting them to DVD someday, who knows when.

I have thousands of dvds and I'm not planning on upgrading any. I'd rather skip the blu-ray phase and just go straight to digital media. I love my dvd player with usb port that plays avi files straight from a flash drive. I'd love to just have everything on a hard drive to play with no more discs. I think PS3 can do the same thing.
