Though I like both, Star Wars original trilogy wins.

Star Trek beats the pants off of the prequels though. You have to respect a show that (one of it's) main purposes (in the beginning) was to be socially conscious... especially back in the 60's with all the world's tensions.

In order of preference:

Star Trek
ST DS9
ST Enterprise
ST TNG

... Voyager on the other hand was just sh!t and does not belong anywhere near this list. I'd rather watch a week long Attack of the Clones marathon... and anyone that knows me, knows how much I despise that movie.

I like both as well for different reasons. But if I has to be stuck with just one of them it would be Star Wars. More toys to play with.

Oh man, this is a tough question. I'd say I've had more of an attachment to the Star Trek universe. I've watched all the shows and used to read the Next Generation books. As a younger kid it was probably Star Wars. At the time there was only the og Star Trek tv show and the first movie had just come out, but Star Wars was getting a lot more attention. I did have toys for both including the Mego Enterprise Bridge, but the Death Star was better in my eyes. Once TNG came out, though, I was hooked on Star Trek.

Wrath of Khan is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I will always love Star Wars more. I find it's universe to be much more imagenative and fun.

I'm not sure what you mean, but they're two very different genres. One is straight up sci-fi and the other is fantasy. I'm a huge Star Wars fan. It's always been my number one hobby. Well, at least until the prequels came out, when I stopped buying up the toys. Of the ones I did buy, and there were a lot, I only still have about 5 or 6. I don't even own those movies, anymore. But I really like Star Trek too. I bought the latest dvd release of the enitre TNG series, which was a must since I used to spend all day watching it on Spike TV. When I was a kid I watched the original in reruns and then when TNG began, I much preferred the old ones because I could see how they'd recycled some of the scripts for the new series. Now TNG is my favorite, but it's still closely followed by the original. I've never been much of a fan of DS9 or Voyager. Enterprise however, I absolutely hate. But I think that has a lot to do with Scott Bakula, who I can't stand to watch. Oh, and I also seriously hate Klingons. They suck.

See I liked Voyager but I would not stop to take a leak on the master reels of Enterprise if it was on fire. You can keep that revisionist BS!
