They were close but it just seems they didnt get the character.Whatever they do next i just hope they get a creative team that truly understands who and what Superman is...and if its Mark Millars vision,I just hope he can keep his ego in check (and thats coming from a massive Millar fan!) |

Nope, I quite enjoyed it. I thought it was certainly the best of any of the Superman films and I have no desire to see it rebooted. That being said, I am curious to see what direction this takes. |

It certainly divided people,i even had an argument with my mate as soon as we left the cinema cuz he said he loved it and felt like a little kid again watching it and i argued that he only felt like that cuz it stole the magic of the 1st films.
The messed up "picking and choosing" of continuity, the muted dull colors,Superman using his powers to snoop on Lois, the fact that he had a kid that hed not even botherd with (and had unprotected sex with Loin then buggerd off for 6 years) the boring Perry characterization, the odd looking suit, the dodgy CGI...good lord i could go on but i wont lol |

I definitely don't think making all the DC films as dark as The Dark Knight is the way to go. Batman is a dark character. His stories need to be dark.
That's the problem with studio execs. They think what works for one movie will work for another. |

Superman Returns was a very awesome movie.
Granted, there wasn't much action going on, but it was awesome for what it was.
Batman is a darker tone than Supes, so trying to add a darker tone to the new Superman movie makes no sense.

Now a dark Lobo movie might work out pretty well |
