I know I'll sound like everyone else whose already into it here but I'm a huge fan of Twilight Zone. Every single time I watch it I think "I can't believe how ahead of it's time this is, how there is such minimal effects but the big idea is just incredible...and done with such class." Now the more I watch Star Trek it's pretty much the same thing. If you can get passed some of the surface stuff I think the "big idea" some of the themes were presenting are borderline mind blowing.
So what is your favorite era? Ship? Episode? Character? Movie? Show?

Sisko wanting to to the right thing in the Dominion War makes compromise after compromise for what he thinks is the best...and in the end he gets what he wanted...not exactly the way he wanted it, and all it cost him was his soul.

Hard core stuff for not just Trek, but seriously its decisions I don't think any of the othe rCaptains would have made.

The various shows and movies have their strengths and weaknesses, but if i were to pick favorites...
For a whole series it would be Deep Space Nine. Not so much that it was better than the others, but i seemed to enjoy it more.
To narrow it down to a season or two, it would be the final seasons of Voyager. Very fast paced, and it really brought the characters to life.
Favorite episode? The mirror universe 2-parter from Enterprise.
Best Captain: Kirk. Shirtless, oiled up, and giving a halting empassioned speech that really has no defined purpose, but you have to agree with what he's saying. Because he's Kirk.

I'm watching "The Captain's Summit" on YT and Shatner as much as I love him has just admitted to Patrick Stewart that he has never watched an episode of TNG.
I just wish he wouldve continued by saying "because I wasn't in it."

No bullshit I thought that was some of the best acting and some powerful as hell lines delivered right there.
How long after TNG does DS9 take place?

DS9 was such a great show, it never got the credit it deserved, it was so freaking dark!
Good times.
