I just saw it and I liked it. Yeah it is for the kids and those in the theatre enjoyed it, as some adults I overheard who weren't SW fans, but enjoyed the film. Rex was a pretty tough dude and I can't wait till the tv sereies starts so I can see some of my favorites in action, like Mace Windu, PLo Koon, Kit Fisto..

I have to agree rex was awesome. The clone characters were really cool. There are going to be plenty of mixed reviews about this film. I thought It was good. It's watch able and I really liked it. Another main thing I found unsettling was the change in the opening title. The song was changed and they had a voice over as opposed to reading the text. It's like the they think that kids of today aren't capable of reading. I just wish it took a little bit more from the traditional star wars films. I have to say the seen with the at-te's walking up the mountain was visually amazing. that seen was some of the best star wars action I've seen in a while. It's that kind of thing that people expect from a clone wars movie, and not ziro the hutt. the film could actually go completely without those scenes and it wouldn't alter the main plot line at all. I hope the show will help me recover from the mixed opinions I have on this.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going in with the expectation of seeing a 90-minute toy commercial (y'know just like the old GI Joe cartoon). So I don't think I can be that disappointed.
Also I'm really only interested in seeing some good battle sequences and, from what I've been reading, this is a good movie for that. |

I haven't seen it, and won't, but I've read enough about it to know the tone and execution of the film, and clearly fart jokes and teenie speak are not reminiscent of the original trilogy.
what's shocking is that there are still people interested in this awful franchise and thought it would be good. |

I saw it this evening and I really enjoyed it. Keeping in mind that this is really just a pilot episode for a children's TV show, then it actually exceeded all of my expectations.
I liked this much better than Episodes 1-3 and those AT-TEs are awesome! |

I'm a Star Wars fanboy and I thought it was good enough, a C. I liked "Hellboy 2" and "The Dark Knight" more and I'm not really strong fans of either of those franchises.
It was better than I expected it to be. I was entertained. The characters, plot and script are very thin, though. Don't expect a lot of deep material here. I saw it surrounded by nine-year olds and they LOVED it-cheered and laughed and seemed genuinely excited by it. Ah, the low expectations of the young... The voice actor who did Anakin did a good impression of Hayden Christensen's non-acting in the prequels. That was funny. A friend told me Zero the Hutt's voice was based on Truman Capote...at the suggestion of George Lucas who obviously is suffering from acute mental illness. Sigh. General Grievous wasn't in it at all. I was a little surprised as they made an animated-style action figure of him and the TRU exclusive was a hologram version of the same toy. The character was mentioned but never shown. The Battle Droids ham it up, too. If you are not a fan of the RogerRogers you won't like this at all. |
