Captain America TFA --would you watch a tv series?

From that first POW rescue mission, Cap goes on to many other adventures with the HOWLING COMMANDOS and the SSR looks to be the predecessor or SHIELD (could it be that cap's shield and the SSR were the founding fathers of SHIELD? something to chew on...) Anyways, after looking at the clips of the video game, I was thinking How cool is this? America fighting Nazis, CALL TO DUTY and its sequels were great and there is plenty of german, japanese, american wwII props in Hollywood, wouldnt it be cool to see CA as he rises to become a sentinel of liberty? All the while, you get the diversity of the Howling Commandos, Red Skull and Hydra with super weapons like the GIANT artillery Wheel/tank and CA learns to wield the shield. Lots of other subplots could be tweaked in. This is CA at his best, so why not show the adventures and add to the legend?

The video game is "OK." It's sort of "Arkham Asylum Lite." As movie tie-in games go, it's better than most but still far from a "great" game. it's also very short, and has virtually no replay value. You do "feel" like you're playing Captain America though.

Worth a rental. Buy only if (like me) you're a really hardcore Captain America fan.

But what would you say to a tv series based on WWII CA and the Howling Commandos? I put the link up to the game to show that it just looks great and all the standard wwii stuff is there, any hydra hardware can be put in via cgi.

Hell Yes!!! I would watch a tv series set in WW2. His adventures in ww2 was too short in the movie. And now he's in the present. I thought the writers would allow for more Cap movies set in the past. Because Chris Evans is contracted for like 6 movies. Not all of them Cap movies.

I like how they bookended the movie in the present. But by explaining his arctic crash they've written themselves into a box. Can they still go back and do Cap in ww2? The solution the writers should have taken: Cap defeats Red Skull some other way. Cap continues fighting in ww2 (tv series or movies) and is lost in the war. Cue to the present, Cap's body is recovered in the arctic.
