Strange how if a male lead in a movie is willing to make such a "sacrifice" that it is rarely an issue, but if a woman does, it's looked down upon. I'm not accusing you of sexism, you might have different reasons, like her being married, but there is definately a double-standard in movies in that regard.
It's pretty clear she didn't enjoy it. She literally let herself be raped to try and save her husband and his men. Doing that and then looking him in the eye at the senate is something that would take a HELL of a lot of guts (more than he had left after he betreyed her).
Edit: For anyone who hasn't read Watchmen, it's a book that had a meteoric impact on the world of comics and, along with Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns", changed the superhero genre forever. I highly recomend it to anyone who even has a passing interest in superheros. You'll never look at them the same way again.
