I know I said that I hate having to watch trailers online, but in this case temptation got the better of me.
I've gotta say, I'm not as thrilled about the movie now as I was before I watched that. It's a really clumsy trailer. And it just looks a bit...cheap. Parts of it almost have a Syfy Channel movie look to it. The plot seems to be "Deep Blue Sea" with dinosaurs. And Chris Pratt just seems off. That "What kind of dinosaur they cooked up in that lab" line is just odd. Teasers like this is where they need to showcase their best lines, and if that's their's, it's in trouble. I really want to like this movie. The first JP is just perfect. The second is good only because it's got Jeff Goldblum and dinosaurs. The third is just a waste of 90 minutes. I'm still hoping that this one can maybe make it to The Lost World's level, but I'm worried about this no-name director. I just don't have the same optimism for this as I did when we got the teaser for "Godzilla" last year. |

Why would anyone want to go to that park? Did they not see the first three movies?

I'm excited for it. The trailer envokes the spirit of the 1st movie and that's NEVER a bad thing.

The original was good, two and three were not, so unless this one does better than two and three, it will probably flop at the box office.

Agreed. Nothing has the magic of the first one. Hybrid dinosaurs? That's what JP has become now I guess.

Saw it last night and they handled the hybrid thing well, I thought. It was a really good movie.
Lots of Jurassic Park references and fun easter eggs.

Saw it last night, hated it. From the lazy writing (which was also massively insulting - ''hey women! Don't have a career! Have babies with Chris Pratt to make your life complete!'') to the horrible product placement (oh, wait, it was ironic, right?) and the winky, smarky dialog (''people are bored of dinosaurs now...'') which then DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS IT'S NOT GOING TO DO, (DOUBLE IRONY!!!) it was an absolute mess.
Unless you're a massive fan of dinosaurs (and crap movies) then don't bother.

I honestly liked it. But I'm pretty easy to please. I thought JP 2 and 3 weren't that bad either. I'm not a student of film or a film critic or an intellectual. I just watch movies to be entertained and to escape from reality. It was fun to watch, and I'll watch it again when it comes out on DVD.
