So do we know anything on the casting on this? John Woo is no longer a part of it, right?

all they have is the script at this point, nobody attached. LatinoReview made a good point about Silver Pictures being a bit gun-shy about going forth with a genre movie like this because how bad Speed Racer bombed for them, but I don't see the two as comparable. Speed Racer was a bad idea which was made arguable 10 years too late. with Transformers and G.I. Joe in theaters, the time is exactly right for MOTU, and having read the script I think it will be a better movie than either of those, both visually and story-wise.

Agreed, Gunslinger. This script follows a well-used ofrmula hat has often produiced fine results, and it follows a classic hero's journey storylinem, as well as having an INCREDIBLE amount of nostalgic value.
Also, I though I heard a rmor that Snyder was going to direct? |

for real, if anyone who has the script and is bored enough to be bothered to email it to me, I would gladly repay the action with an internet hug/or handshake. Which ever you would rather like.
Also, lets start throwing names out for possible casts!!!! I love this game!!! Ill go first! Ron Jeremy as Fisto

Ok, this one is a stretch, but Id actually dig it.
Kevin Spacey as Skeletor Hes got the higher tone voice (not as high as Skeletor obviously, but that could come off a bit dumb in live action) Hes got that quarky dialogue delivery that is borderline over the top, that I could see as skeletor like EDIT Ok, his voice isnt exactly high, i guess i just meant he can be "loud" at the right times

I'm all for deaths in something like MOTU. It's like Batman offing the villian in the movies, it takes it to a level the cartoon and comics don't go to because 1) cartoons aimed at the youngsters 2) comic books want the villian to keep coming back. With only 3 (I hope at least) movies it doesn't make sense to have everyone live. Kill TrapJaw in 1 and maybe we get Whiplash in 2 (or whomever) to replace him. Thanks for the info on the movie script, even just the pre-start-up phase on this one gets me happy!

I guess what makes me mad about killing off major villians in most movies (its not as bad nowdays though), is how they try to bring that villian back for the next one. Or they take a fan favorite side character, and push him in the background constantly, just to kill him off, when he coulda been a cool character to push in another installment. Of course they dont do that as bad nowdays, probably because it seems like a lot of the more important movies are shot with sequals in mind.
