Star Wars question.

I know this is a Joe site but I also know there are alot of SW fans on here so I thought I'd give it a shot. I've always been a pretty big fan of SW movies, but never really dug too deep beyond that. My curiosity, however, has gotten the best of me. I was wondering if there have been any publications BEYOND SW episode VI? I'm curious to know: Did they form a "new republic"? Did the Jedi come back? Did Han and Leia have kids? If anyone knows where I can find any of this info, I'd appreciate it alot!

There have been countless new novels that expand on the films. Some if not all I believe are canon so they tell the official story after Return of the Jedi. Check this out and you can go from there I guess.

Holy Balls...I didn't even realize there were that many friggin' books out there about it! I've been on wikipedia trying to set them up in chronological order.

SO, this is what I've got so far...correct me if I'm wrong...
after episode VI;
X-wing series (first 7 novels) (6.5-7.5 ABY)
The Thrawn Trilogy (9ABY)
X-wing series "Isard's Revenge" (9ABY)
Jedi Academy (11ABY)
X-Wing "Starfighters of Adumar" (12-13ABY)
Young Jedi Knights (23 ABY)
New Jedi Order (25ABY)
The Dark Nest (35-36ABY)
and then the Legacy of the Force (40ABY)

Can anyone tell me anything about any of these series of novels? Are they any good? It sounds to me like the whole X-Wing series is irrelevant.

There's lots of bad SW books out there. it's all a matter of opinion of course, but it the the New jedi order series that they started to really bring the universe together. It's a good story line too. The Legacy of the Force is the most recent set and brings us close to 30+ yrs after Return of the Jedi... It wouldn't hurt tyo start with the Thrawn Trilogy (that was the first set of expanded Universe released) and May the Force Be with U
