Just listen to a tone of records, and pick up guitar that way. It helps to learn notes, and memorize them. Just listen to a load of the Ramones. They are easy and fun to pick up. The key is in down strokes IMO.

So how did you learn the guitar, music man? I have tried desperately to pick it up. Took lessons, but the lessons didn't take.
