I open everything. I have a son who is 7 years old and we play with them together. I also have a 18 month old boy so my future of playing/collecting GI Joe is secure. LOL
I am currently trying to turn my basement into a huge GI Joe playroom/diorama. It’s going to be a long road but should be well worth the time and effort.

To answer your PM, yes I do have other customs but the Cobra Base is bar far the most unique. I’m glad you like it. It was a blast to make. :o)

I have been hitting the local yard sales in my area. It's mostly misses as I'm sure you know. Last weekend I did find a vehicle. The Joe carrier truck missing basically everything. The tires still rolled so I picked it up. Plus a few broken and loose figures. Got my list ready for tomorrow mornings sales. I know it's gonna take time. I don't mind, were having fun looking. Collecting joes on a budget is not easy. I will look at c-list too.

Are you a open box collector or mint?

Hi and welcome to the Tank!
I know you are looking for ways to get Joe stuff without having to spend much but that’s a hard combo. You could try looking at Craigslist in your area. Sometimes they have Joes for cheap. Otherwise you will have to spend money on new ones at your local stores (Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Target, ETC…) or you could look at some of the many internet stores. You could also look for stuff on EBay or as others have suggested try trading here on the Tank.

Anything that's still playable. Figures or vehicles that can still fight cobra. The collection is for my nephew. We enjoying having play time. So anything we got new would be opened quickly. We don't have much so anything would be an addition.
